Francisco Bartus is a Spanish painter born in Valencia in 1965. His teachers at school encouraged him to study art and after his training he began his career as a professional designer and visual artist. In this first phase he focused on still lifes in which he applied modern language and techniques that were enthusiastically received by galleries and the public.
Then, influenced by the ideas of Carl Jung, he decided to move on to a new genre to show in a plastic and clear expression how some of our deepest feelings are partly hereditary and not only shaped by our personal or individual experience. Bartus thus developed his own unique style to produce the stunning works of art that we present to you here, combining powerful painting techniques with an idea of human collectivity that underlies his most recent themes.
The use of mixed media creates a 3D dimension that makes his pieces extraordinarily different. The layering of the paint is striking and adds another dimension to Bartus' production. His works are innovative and unique, combining a variety of materials and techniques with fresh ideas to create exciting works.
Bartus has been exhibited widely in various galleries in the US, primarily in Florida, California and New York. Also in Europe, France, Spain and recently Germany and Switzerland.
