Je Shen
Je Shen, born in Jiangxi, China, in 1973. After graduating from the Guangzhou School of Fine Arts, he continued his studies at the Beijing Academy of Fine Arts. Over the years, his work has been exhibited internationally through solo and group exhibitions in Asia, Europe and the United States.
Technique
Je Shen builds the foundation of his work with traditional media such as oil and acrylic paint, underpinning each composition with a classic visual approach. The floral expansion that characterizes his visual language is created through a precise and almost ritual process: with a fine dripping technique, he patiently forms each petal, drop by drop. This precise movement gives the surface a sense of movement and organic depth, transforming the paint into an immersive blooming structure that hovers between instinct and control.
