About Nitra Art
As a nine-year-old boy, Rwanda-born Nitra came to Belgium in 1985. The mix of cultures that was so defining for his youth has ensured that Nitra connects two worlds in his artworks. He brings his love for the flora and fauna of his native country into contact with modern architecture in Europe. We see this reflected in brilliant abstract works, among others, in which he connects colorful African butterflies with the architectural style of the West.
