About Van Apple
Diederik van Appel is a contemporary artist from Leiden. Under the name Van Apple Art, he combines pop culture, iconic brands, film, and children's cartoons into colorful, recognizable works with a whimsical visual language.
Van Apple's art is a combination of digital techniques and photography. He uses gold foil, Swarovski stones, adds colors, and various handmade items such as butterflies, which are covered with different layers of epoxy. By adding these layers, he is able to create innovative and unique mixed-media art with a fantastic 3D effect.
The work is produced in an edition of 10 pieces, numbered and signed by the artist, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The artwork can be viewed in our gallery at Nieuwe Rijn 13A in Leiderdorp and will be delivered to your home free of charge and personally by us.
