Around his waist, he wears a gold championship belt, and on his head sits a shiny crown. About Van Apple:
Van Apple (Diederik van Appel, born 1985 in Leiden) grew up surrounded by comic books, iconic films, and a fascination with fantasy versus reality. After years as an art representative in an Amsterdam gallery, he began designing his own sculptures in which pop culture, fashion, and well-known brands come together — the Fashion Monkeys are the clearest example of this.
