Francisco Bartus - Pink Heart – Original 3D Painting

'Pink Heart' is a three-dimensional mixed-media artwork created by the renowned Spanish artist Francisco Bartus. Centered against a sleek, stark-white background is a large heart formed by hundreds of miniature figures dressed in bright pink or red.

 The miniature figures are applied to the canvas in layers using thick, textured paint. Each figure casts a small, realistic shadow to its lower left, creating the illusion of a real crowd of people walking across the canvas.

 The heart is not static; at the top right, the shape appears to gently 'break open.' A stream of individual figures walks diagonally into that corner, lending the artwork a powerful sense of movement, freedom, and connection.

Three-dimensional techniques and materials

In every composition, Bartus works with mixed media: from oil paint to acrylics, from pastel chalk to textiles. By continuously adding new layers, he creates a tactile relief that invites the viewer not only to observe the artwork, but almost to experience it.

The result is a dynamic interplay of shadows and a rich texture that makes his paintings appear to come alive and emerge from the canvas.

The artwork measures 65 x 65 cm including the black floating frame.
