About this artwork
'Girl with a Pearl Earring' Streetshot by Gert Willem Haasnoot
The Streetshots series emerged spontaneously from the wanderings of Gert-Willem through the streets of European cities, where he went in search of interesting street art. This work is a collage of two specific, modern interpretations of classic masterpieces in street art. On the left, we see a graffiti-inspired interpretation of 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' by Johannes Vermeer. On the right, a creative street art variation of 'The Birth of Venus' by Sandro Botticelli.
The photo is printed on an aluminum dibond plate; the flat artwork features a frame on the back, which makes it hang 'floating' on the wall.
Also available in 80 x 120 cm.
An ode to street art by photographer Gert Willem Haasnoot
Graffiti, once considered vandalism, is increasingly being accepted as a fully-fledged art form. For ten years, photographer Gert Willem Haasnoot has been photographing graffiti in the streets of Berlin, Valencia, Barcelona, and recently also in Amsterdam.

As an art collector I am satisfied with the advice of Moderne Kunst! The choice of artists such as Pieter Vonk, Van Apple, Nissim Men and Peter Donkersloot makes me feel like a kid in a candy store.
We were helped professionally and enthusiastically. We were even allowed to take several paintings on inspection. Our Guy Olivier hangs great! We will definitely come back.
What a great shop:-) We dropped in on a Saturday and were helped very pleasantly. After seeing a beautiful work, we thought about it for a while, and then it was no problem to see the screen print within our interior.
