'Girl with a Pearl Earring' Streetshot by Gert Willem Haasnoot
The Streetshots series emerged spontaneously from the wanderings of Gert-Willem through the streets of European cities, where he went in search of interesting street art. This work is a collage of two specific, modern interpretations of classic masterpieces in street art. On the left, we see a graffiti-inspired interpretation of 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' by Johannes Vermeer. On the right, a creative street art variation of 'The Birth of Venus' by Sandro Botticelli.
The photo is printed on an aluminum dibond plate; the flat artwork features a frame on the back, which makes it hang 'floating' on the wall.
