About this artwork
'Politica' Streetshot from Barcelona by Gert Willem Haasnoot
Photo of 'Blended streetart' by Gert Willem Haasnoot from his Streetshots series. An anthropomorphic monkey dressed in a suit and tie creates the impression of a satirical depiction of an authority figure. In the center of the work is the text 'Ocupy les corts'; this is a direct political and activist reference to protest movements directed against the Catalan parliament in Barcelona.
The photo is printed on an aluminum dibond panel, the flat artwork has a frame on the back, which makes it hang 'floating' on the wall.
An ode to street art by photographer Gert Willem Haasnoot
Graffiti, once considered vandalism, is increasingly being accepted as a fully-fledged art form. Photographer Gert Willem Haasnoot has been photographing graffiti in the streets of Berlin, Valencia, Barcelona, and recently also in Amsterdam for ten years.

As an art collector I am satisfied with the advice of Moderne Kunst! The choice of artists such as Pieter Vonk, Van Apple, Nissim Men and Peter Donkersloot makes me feel like a kid in a candy store.
We were helped professionally and enthusiastically. We were even allowed to take several paintings on inspection. Our Guy Olivier hangs great! We will definitely come back.
What a great shop:-) We dropped in on a Saturday and were helped very pleasantly. After seeing a beautiful work, we thought about it for a while, and then it was no problem to see the screen print within our interior.
