About this artwork
'Void' Streetshot in Barcelona by Gert Willem Haasnoot
Photo of 'Blended streetart' by Gert Willem Haasnoot from his Streetshots series. A weathered city wall with torn posters and handwritten texts. We see a stenciled black figure (resembling the work of Banksy) with a red detail on its chest in front of a red circle with an Anarchy symbol. There are Spanish texts on torn posters with slogans such as: 'La edad del Pavo es nuestra revolución' - 'Puberty is our revolution'. The golden portrait of a woman shows a face with a traditional tribal or pre-Columbian appearance.
The photo is printed on an aluminum dibond plate; the flat artwork has a frame on the back, allowing it to hang 'floating' on the wall.
Also available in 60 x 90 cm.
An ode to street art by photographer Gert Willem Haasnoot
Graffiti, formerly considered vandalism, is increasingly being accepted as a full-fledged art form. For ten years, photographer Gert Willem Haasnoot has been photographing graffiti in the streets of Berlin, Valencia, Barcelona, and recently also in Amsterdam.
