THE MARQUIS (FRED) HANSEN
Fred was born on November 5, 1944 in Leiden and died on May 31, 2005.
He was 26 when he first began painting professionally, adopting the name Le Marquis for his work.
On June 24, 1989, he entered the Guinness Book of Records by creating a painting with an area of 625.84m2 in 24 hours.
His work is characterized by magical realism.
An interpretation of spirit in matter. The resonance of fundamental themes that occupy us on a conscious or unconscious level.
