Peter Donkersloot - The Godfather - Iconic modern portrait painting

Don Corleone II by Peter Donkersloot is a powerful and characterful portrait in which iconic film history and contemporary painting come together. The work is inspired by the legendary figure from The Godfather and captures the essence of power, silence, and authority in one penetrating image.

This artwork is a hand-painted Giclee on 3D canvas. Donkersloot is known for his classic “layer upon layer” painting technique, where thick layers of paint and subtle nuances combine to create a deep, almost tangible texture. The sides are painted as well, meaning no frame is needed and the work can be hung straight on the wall.

The portrait radiates an almost cinematic tension: understated, mysterious, and at the same time dominantly present.

The work is signed by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

We were helped professionally and enthusiastically. We were even allowed to take several paintings on inspection. Our Guy Olivier hangs great! We will definitely come back.

What a great shop:-) We dropped in on a Saturday and were helped very pleasantly. After seeing a beautiful work, we thought about it for a while, and then it was no problem to see the screen print within our interior.
