About this artwork
At a young age, the artist, born on April 4, 1978, can often be found in the studio of his uncle, the late Le Marquis Fred Hansen. Here he often picked up a brush to copy his uncle's works of art. His father, who was also a painter and sculptor, had a gallery in Leiden where he sold works of art by well-known Leiden artists, including his uncle. He often came here after school to learn the trade from his father.
This is a unique hand-crafted work of art which has been poured with several layers of epoxy.
The technique with epoxy and dibond gives a crystal clear effect, making colours sharper and more intense.
