ROLAND ART pop art artist, elixir of life, born in Utrecht. I spent my youth with many animals in Friesland, by the Sneekermeer lake. That's where my love for animals originated, and the desire to portray them in their own fantasy world. I often spent time at my neighbours' farm, which had a herd of 85 dairy cows. They still had cows with horns. And a very large group of stray cats, from kittens to very old.

During the period we lived in Denmark, a country where much, almost everything, is made of wood, my love for working with wood developed. I love wood. The basic scent of wood invigorates my creative brain. That scent is the engine. To have wood in my hands is my passion, and to create a cat from it, with all its round forms, fills my heart with joy. The cat with the bird is the image I will always continue to make. That is a ROLAND and for me, it represents love, freedom, happiness, harmony, tenderness, and peace. I sculpt in various types of wood and in the precious metal Bronze.

We were helped professionally and enthusiastically. We were even allowed to take several paintings on inspection. Our Guy Olivier hangs great! We will definitely come back.

What a great shop:-) We dropped in on a Saturday and were helped very pleasantly. After seeing a beautiful work, we thought about it for a while, and then it was no problem to see the screen print within our interior.
