Theo Onnes (1957) is a visual artist. He became famous for his paintings of cows and goats. He lives and works in the village of Uithuizen, where the beautiful empty Groningen landscape is a constant source of inspiration for him.
Theo Onnes works figuratively. Landscapes, animals and people are a great source of inspiration. In fact, it is the ordinary things around him that inspire Theo Onnes, light in a ditch, ploughed land, sun on the back of a goat, the tenderness of a newborn calf, his growing daughters. In his paintings he shows this wonder of the everyday things.
