About Van Apple
Diederik van Appel is a contemporary artist from Leiden. Under the name Van Apple Art, he combines pop culture, iconic brands, film, and children's cartoons into colorful, recognizable works with a quirky visual language.
Van Apple works differently than most painters. He combines traditional visual language with modern materials such as resin, epoxy, and chrome. The result are works that not only hang on the wall but also stand freely in a space: sculptures that gleam, reflect, and immediately attract attention.
