The Peace Turtle The American Dream is an exclusive pop art sculpture by Van Apple - the Dutch artist Diederik van Appel from Leiden. The golden turtle wears a white helmet with the American flag spray-painted on it in graffiti style.
Van Apple created the Peace Turtles in his own artistic way. He gave the turtles a helmet instead of their shell to show his love and respect for this protected species. The turtles are made of chrome to express their value and are given a colorful and contemporary helmet; each design makes a statement.
